The Featured Author Collection Application

We’re looking for six authors to join the first season of The Featured Author Collection, a new program from Stories & Keepsakes by Kat London.

Selected books will be purchased by Stories & Keepsakes at wholesale cost and sold through our website (under The Bookstore section) and at select in-person markets in the Washington, DC Metro area. Each title will receive the full Stories & Keepsakes treatment, including a note from the author, a book-inspired playlist, recommended reads, and a thoughtfully coordinated presentation designed to help readers connect with the story. This does mean that we will ask those who are selected to provide a written note to readers, a 10-song playlist inspired by your book, and a list of 4 to 5 recommended reads.

There is no fee to apply or participate. Authors are not expected to attend markets, process orders, ship products to customers, or manage customer service. We handle the selling and fulfillment.

Your submission does not need to be your newest book. Backlist titles are warmly welcomed, provided they are still available for retailer purchase. Independently published, traditionally published, hybrid-published, and small-press authors are all encouraged to apply.

For this first collection, we are seeking books in the following categories:

• Book club fiction

• Fantasy

• Romantasy

• Mystery

• Historical fiction

• Horror

This is a collaborative opportunity. Selected authors will be expected to help promote the collection through social media and, if they maintain one, their newsletter. Authors will also be asked to support the other writers in the lineup by sharing, engaging with, and celebrating their features.

Selected books may also be considered for future Stories & Keepsakes curated book boxes and our planned 2027 subscription service.

We’ll select one author in each featured category for the introductory collection.

You do not need a large following to apply. We are looking for memorable books, thoughtful authors, strong curation potential, and writers who are excited to participate in a supportive, collaborative collection.
